Dean Rodney Singers

Discover the universe of the Dean Rodney Singers. Enter seven dimensions you never knew existed, featuring unique characters, superhero robots and mysterious creatures. Combining the latest techniques in music, video and film, this parallel world is being brought brought to life by a global band of 72 artists with and without disabilities.

The Dean Rodney Singers project has been commissioned by the Unlimited programme, part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, and is run by Heart n Soul, one of the UK’s leading arts organisations with learning disability culture at its heart.   It is a programme that celebrates arts and culture by disabled and deaf artists in the UK, which will run concurrently with the Paralympics Games and will feature in the Festival of the World programme at London Southbank Centre as part of the London 2012 Festival, a programme of over 12,000 events across the UK celebrating the Games.

Unlimited is delivered in partnership with London 2012, Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the British Council. Out of 30 new pieces of work, five involve international collaboration. Dean Rodney’s dream is among those five projects of international collaboration and includes artists from Brazil, China, Croatia, Germany, Japan, South Africa and the UK.
